Metaleap and Paste to host Rwanda benefit in Atlanta

On Friday (June 27), Metaleap Design and Paste will host a benefit to celebrate the building of the Good Shepard Hospital in Rwanda and to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the 100 Day genocide in Rwanda.

The Good Shepherd Hospital was started by the work of Rwandan native Simon Nziramakenga, who founded the Good Shepherd Community Church in Rwanda in 1994. Over a decade later, with 14 churches to the Good Shepard name and one theological college in Kigali, the Rwandan government asked Simon and his church to create Rwanda’s first dedicated pediatric facility. And thus The Good Shepherd Hospital was born to support a nation where half the population is under 14 years old.

The benefit will take place at the office Metaleap and Paste share in the Atlanta suburb of Decatur. It will feature live music by local Atlanta band The Ming Dynasty and DJ Little Jen on the turntables. It is locally sponsored by Prismatech, The Brick Store, Xpedx and Fernando Decillis (who will photograph the event).

Metaleap is putting on the event through One Hundred Days, Inc. One Hundred Days is a nonprofit organization founded Atlanta in 2005. It is committed to working with the Good Shepard Community Church in Rwanda and helping then raise the $1.8 million necessary to build the hospital.
