After almost two years since their last release, the proud Scots of Mogwai are about to bestow some more ambient-instrumental rock on the world. The band will release it sixth studio album The Hawk is Howling on Sept. 22 of this year.
If you don’t think you can wait to the fall for some Mogwai goodies, then be comforted in the fact that in late May the group reissued its iconic 1997 debut, Young Team, in a swank double disc/quadruple deluxe edition box set.
Of course, you can always just experience Mogwai when its come to a city near you. The guys has laid down a series of tour dates that will have them working the festival circut this summer. But please heed our warning: If you go to any of these shows, bring ear plugs for your ear plugs. Mogwai is loud.
