New Pornographers cite "personal reasons" for canceled tour

For as long as we can remember, "personal reasons" have been the excuse for everything from failed relationships to early retirement to, well, pretty much anything relating to musicians and professional obligations.
The New Pornographers are the latest group in a long line to blame the aforementioned affliction. The casualty? Their upcoming European tour.

In a statement released by the band, they apologized to fans for their "generic, but [...] sincere" excuse-- and also assure assured that everyone is safe in mind and body and, no, drugs are not involved.  Good to know, but their European fans would have probably preferred a show.
