Quentin Tarantino announced at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival in May that his World War II film Inglorious Bastards will premiere, "if all goes well," at the Festival in 2009. Not only that, but the project will be split into two films.
The announcement may be just
a little ambitious at this point, given that Tarantino prefaced the fist-pumping
declaration with news that he'd just completed the screenplay's first
draft. We'll keep you posted as more news develops.

Where Have All The Weird Girls Gone?…

Well... as long as someone limits him. Not in a bad way - but I think he produces much better stuff when he has at least some 'limits' which force him to be super-extra-creative.
Like all indie directors have to be - and he's lost some of that touch.
Uhh, I think this is already a bit off (a la http://weblogs.variety.com/thompsononhollywood/2008/06/tarantino-finis.html).
On the plus side, if this is true (which seems far more reputable), then at least we'll have a chance at getting the intended version of the film on DVD here, unlike for Kill Bill and Grindhouse.
