Teddy Geiger lets fans vote on tracks for next record

Singer-songwriter Teddy Geiger wants his fans to choose which songs will be included on his upcoming album.

Geiger has written 33 new songs, only 11 of which will be included on his next album, the follow-up to 2006’s Billboard Top 10 charting Underage Thinking. Fans can go online to listen to Geiger’s handiwork, vote for their favorite songs and buy MP3s of any of the tracks. Tracks can be purchased for $0.99 each, $9.99 for 11 tracks, $19.99 for 11 tracks and fan club membership/benefits, or $29.99 for all 33 tracks and fan club membership/benefits.

The Rochester, N.Y. native, who signed his first record contract at age 16, will also be making his silver-screen debut this summer the comedy The Rocker. Geiger will star as the lead singer of a garage band, and The Office funnyman Rainn Wilson plays his uncle - the band’s drummer. Christina Applegate also stars in the film, which will hit theaters August 1. Geiger also recorded nine new songs that will be featured on the film’s soundtrack.
