The Raveonettes announce tour dates, Foo-sister swap

The Raveonettes have announced a handful of summer tour dates, as well as a sibling lineup swap worthy of The Parent Trap.

Danish duo Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo’s latest album Lust Lust Lust was released stateside in February, and the pair has been touring in earnest since January. But expectant mother Sharin Foo will be splitting touring duties this summer with none other than her sister Louise.

Louise Foo is a founding member of the art collective Ohmarymary, which directed the Raveonettes video “Aly Walk With Me,” and is also involved in the Copenhagen music scene. She’ll be filling in for her sister at all of the Raveonettes’ European tour dates, while Sharin stays in Los Angeles to ensure the well-being of her child and work on new material.

The band has cooked up a way to maintain a sense of the familiar during its European gigs, though. Louise has been photographed wearing a cut-out mask of her sister’s chiseled cheekbones, blunt blond bob and kohl-lined icy blue eyes. Check out the photo of Sharin (or is it…) and the Raveonettes’ summer tour dates below.
