Weeds spin-off in the works
Let's keep this business-like: Yes, the Weeds Season 4 premiere involved our dear dealer Nancy (Marie-Louise Parker) and the Botwin family fleeing to Bubbie-in-law's house. No, neither business partner Conrad and Nancy, nor drug king-pin Guillermo and Nancy, are to have any romantic future. Yes, Nancy will (supposedly) struggle more this season with ethical quandaries and find a new love interest. No, she will not be dealing harder drugs.
Oh, and yes, Heylia (Tonye Patano) and Conrad (Romany Malco)—the dealer and farmer, respectively, that gave Nancy her suburban start in the business—are gone from the show for good.
But have hope, Weeds addicts! Show creator Jenji Kohan told E! Online that she's interested in putting those Weeds-free characters back into the drug world: Kohan has plans for a spinoff "that takes place in a pot club...I'd shoot it sort of fake reality-show style. It could be pretty like The Hills!"
No further details will likely be available until Weeds finishes shooting in mid-July, Kohan says.
