It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to run until 2011

To the glee of worried fans, The Man got his skivvies out of a twist long enough to pick up It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for 39 more episodes. The TV underdog, most known for being as caustic as it is hilarious, will officially run until 2011 along its FX comrade Nip/Tuck.

According to Variety, the cast and production team will not change. That means more chances for us to see Charlie in his long johns, Sweet Dee and Dennis nonsensically arguing, and the waitress (who Charlie is married to in real life) remaining nameless.

John Landgraf of FX says of aiming high with new concepts: "We're trying to put a show on the air that's original." We say we can't wait for Dennis and Charlie's song "Dayman" to get stuck in our heads again. Season four starts Sept. 18.

As for other FX shows, Nip/Tuck nears its 100th episode, and Testees, a show (similar to Ricky Gervais' Extras?) about two men who make a living being medical guinea pigs, got the go-ahead for 13 episodes.
