They might not be touring together this Fall, but fear not: Brian Eno and David Byrne aren't the type to keep you waiting. All right, that's not entirely true; it's been 27 years since their last collaborative album. Fortunately, they're fixin' to break that dry spell with Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, a joint venture co-written by Messrs Eno and Byrne.
For the two of them, it's been a strange hopscotch over the musical landscape of the past four decades; from King Crimson to Coldplay, and from the Talking Heads to the B-52s, this duo has left their indelible mark on modern music. Paradigm shifters that they are, they'll naturally be releasing this sucker via the interwebs first, with the promise of a free downloadable preview at the album's website on Aug. 4, followed by the album's tangible release on Aug. 18. A deluxe CD package will hit brick-and-mortar stores shortly afterwards, which will include a free download of the album. Peep the tracklist, and don't be afraid to put that Windows 95 startup music on a loop if you're feeling nostalgic:
1. Home
2. My Big Nurse
3. I Feel My Stuff
4. Everything That Happens
5. Life Is Long
6. The River
7. Strange Overtones
8. Wanted For Life
9. One Fine Day
10. Poor Boy
11. The Lighthouse
