Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip tours, preps U.S. release

U.K. hip-hop duo Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip have plenty of advice to dish out, whether it's a reminder to take your music idols a little less seriously or an excoriation of modern-day faith. On their debut LP Angles, they bring their uniquely British swagger to bear against love, drugs, lust, politics, religion, suicide and everything in between. Buoyed by dazzling sets at SXSW and Coachella, the act bearing the moniker "Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip" is poised to spill over into the U.S. Angles will finally be seeing the light of day in the Colonies on Sept. 2 thanks to a deal with hip-hop maven Sage Francis' "Strange Famous" record label.

Sure, the quickly-wilting "chav" subculture of the U.K. might make you hesitant to sample an odd mixture like Brits and hip-hop, arguably the worst combination to come out of the country since they started putting milk in their tea. But Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip are one of the rare exceptions to that rule, blending Pip's blindingly intelligent lyricism with Dan's slick computerized beats, and the occaisonal '80s movie shout-out or Radiohead sample doesn't hurt matters either. Naturally, there'll be an epic tour to support this sucker as well:
