Watch the Heroes season three trailer

When Bonnie Tyler crooned that she was "holding out for a hero" in 1984, she probably wasn't speaking in literal terms, but more along the lines of "I want a guy that's not a jerk," or, as the video suggests, cowboys with glowing neon bullwhips.

But we could be wrong. Perhaps Ms. Tyler really did want a dude with superpowers. If that's the case, you can bet she is currently holding out for the third season of Heroes, which makes its premiere on Sept. 22.

NBC recently released a trailer for the new season, which is subtitled, "Villians." We could give you a little explanation here, but that would ruin all the fun, now wouldn't it? Watch:
