Jay Reatard and Deerhunter pair up for Matador split 7"

| | Comments (0)
The only certainties in life used to be death and taxes. Looks like you can add Jay Reatard's workmanlike output to the mix, because he's at it again. As part of Reatard's continuing 7" series with Matador, he'll be teaming up with post-punk dilettante Bradford Cox of Deerhunter to do a split 45. Cox will tackle Reatard's "Oh It's Such A Shame," and Reatard will bring his garage-rock flair to Deerhunter's "Fluorescent Gray."
The album is due out a week from today (July 22), and if past releases are any indication, it'll fly off the shelves like punches at Reatard's shows. Dont forget that he'll be touring this month and the next as well, so if you're not scared of mosh pits and the swinging extremities that go with them, check it out.
