Johnny Cash gets remixed by son and Snoop Dogg

In an unlikely pairing, John Carter Cash (Johnny's son) and Snoop Dogg are producing Johnny Cash Remixed, which features interpretations of some of Cash's finest classics as a tribute.
Remixers have reworked songs licensed from Cash's first label, Sun Records, which will be released Oct. 14 and in vinyl deluxe form in September.

Says Cash the Younger: "[My father] set the standard at the same time. He would have loved this remix record." On the tracklist are "Walk the Line" (feat. Snoop Dogg), "Country Boy" (Sonny J), "Folsom Prison Blues" (Pete Rock) and "Leave That Junk Alone" (Alabama 3, who also wrote the Sopranos theme). Mathew Knowles (yes, Beyoncé's dad) is also producing.

A documentary will also follow, which is currently in production. In the meantime, watch a clip of the making below:
