Scottish songstress KT Tunstall will return to the U.S. in August for a month-long North American tour. She will be playing tunes from her 2007 sophomore album, Drastic Fantastic, as well as her smash-hit debut Eye to the Telescope, which
yielded the ubiquitous hits “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and
“Suddenly I See.” The singer-songwriter will play both electric and
acoustic guitar during her upcoming shows in order to give her fans
what she hopes is the best of both stylistic worlds.
“My bar has been raised,” Tunstall said in a statement, reminiscing about her first tour. “I've realized what's possible...touring with a band, seeing how that album can turn into something else on stage, and how we can actually make it better... It's always been about getting onstage and trying to do a mind-blowing show. And if you're playing the same set night after night, that means playing around with it, and experimenting with what you've got. It's not a CD, it's a gig.”
Tunstall will be sharing the stage with Martha Wainwright, whose sophomore effort
I Know You’re Married But I’ve Got Feelings Too hit shelves last month.
