Althea Legaspi is Paste:Local's Chicago editor. A freelance music journalist/critic and culture/travel writer, she has been covering all things music for the past decade. The former editor in chief of Illinois Entertainer magazine, she currently writes for a variety of publications including Chicago Tribune, USA Today, Paste, Global Rhythm, and Chord magazines among others.
In addition to writing for print, she is the on-air music critic for NPR affiliate Chicago Public Radio’s “Eight Forty-Eight” daily program, and her interview segments also run on “All Things Considered.” Althea has served as an on-camera correspondent for RollingStone.com, HOB.com, and the local PBS-run television show “Sound Opinions,” as well as co-hosted Q101’s Local 101.
