What isn't Spike Lee working on these days? Between a slew of documentaries, collaborations, and receiving critical acclaim for said work, you gotta wonder when the dude finds time to sleep. Fortunately, that hasn't stopped the man born Shelton Jackson Lee from doing the right thing...that is, if the right thing involves helping to revive a meritorious but fiscally-floundering Broadway show. As Variety reports, Lee will be filming musical Passing Strange for the show's producers, who aim for an eventual cable TV airing of the movie.
Not exactly the sort of thing you'd expect from the iconic Brooklyn director, but hey, he's good at branching out.
