The Howlies release EP, tour

So you might say Paste is a little biased, seeing as The Howlies come from our neck of the woods, but they really are quite a talented bunch. And as much as we'd like them to stay in Atlanta and play for us forever, this foursome is moving up in the music world and may soon be headed to a neck of the woods near you.

The self-described Guns 'n' Roses meets Chuck Berry group is set to release their Kim Fowley-produced debut album, Trippin' with Howlies, this Fall, but to give you a little taste of what's to come, they drop their first official single/EP, "Sea Level" on August 12.

The Howlies will be on tour throughout August, hitting various spots in the Midwest and along the East Coast. If we haven't convinced you yet, check out the shows below and rock out to the quartet first-hand:
