Album Stream: Listen to Mindy Smith's Christmas album My Holiday

This was really a tough one. Both Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes have become two of my favorite musical acts because of their debut albums. I'll just flip a coin.
tails, fleet foxes
Wow, how can Evil Urges not be on this list?
Shearwater. Hands down.
the hold steady stay positive
Marco Benevento's "Invisible Baby" was the best...

1)drive-by truckers
2)my morning jacket
3)the hold steady
1 drive-by truckers
2 my morning jacket
3 the hold steady
yeah Shearwater should definitely be on this list. What about M83 and Throw Me The Statue? Bon Iver has my vote though.
I know it's not cool to like mainstream music anymore, but I'd save the Brian Eno produced "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay is the best thing out there, regardless of if it doesn't hold indie cred.
Vampire Weekends lost their 15 minutes of fame a while ago.
Isn't that My Morning Jacket I see on the COVER OF YOUR MAGAZINE!?!?!?!?!?!
What is wrong with you?
MY MORNING JACKET!!!
1. MMJ
2. Raconteurs
3. Hold Steady
"Funplex" by The B-52s. No question. Well worth the 16 year wait.
1. The Weepies - Hideaway
2. Death Cabe for Cutie
3. REM
bonnie "prince" billy-lie down in the light
Kathleen Edwards - Lucinda Williams wishes she could be that good and consistent.
1. Mates of State- Re-Arrange Us
And coming from a big Death Cab fan, I think the new album is terrible.
MGMT's Oracular Spectacular should be at the top of this list.
My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges (one of the greatest things I have ever experienced in an hour, although almost nobody i know will agree with me)
Coldplay - Viva la Vida (admit it people, it's good)
Santogold - Santogold (fuck Vampire Weekend, NOBODY sounds like Santi White)
Attack and Release - Black Keys (solid mix of garage rock and blues. rock at its core, updated for 2008)
Modern Guilt - Beck (just heard it, is great)
Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago (really beautiful stuff if u just sit and listen. havent tried it in the woods yet though)
can I still count In Rainbows as 2008? whatever.
oh, and i havent heard the sigur ros album, but i keep hearing that its good
You're right on, c'mon. MMJ is easily the best, but your numbes 2 and 3 are mine, too. #4 for me is the new Fogging Molly.
Before I saw the poll options I knew my answer would be Fleet Foxes, and while I did vote for them, I had to think for a second when I saw Bon Iver and Sigur Ros on the list, because both have also released absolutely stunning albums this year.
