Will Ferrell plans to show split personality in 2-Face

Will Ferrell has signed on for a new project at Sony, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film, titled 2-Face, will pit Ferrell against himself as man who develops a multiple personality disorder after a car accident.

It gets more interesting, though: one of the character's personalities is an unashamed racist, while his other personality is a "bleeding heart liberal."

Vince Gilligan (Hancock, X-Files) wrote the comedy, and Chronicles of Narnia producer Mark Johnson is slated to produce. There is no director in place at this point, and no other details have yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Eugene Novikov at Cinematical anticipates 2-Face with a few interesting thoughts about the portrayal of racism in film.
