YYYs' Karen O now playing Native Korean Rock

Yeah Yeah Yeahs songstress Karen O is easing up on the snarl a bit. For the last couple of years, she's been recording some lo-fi bedroom songs under the moniker Native Korean Rock.

Four of the songs are now available of her MySpace page. And while YYYs fans might be a bit surprised with just how low the volume knob can go, we're pretty sure most will be won over by the winsome ethereality of the whole business.

Those in New York who are in love with the new work—or looking to be convinced of its vitality—should check out two shows at Brooklyn's Union Pool tonight. Others: await hailstorm Native Korean Rock.
