Bloc Party's Intimacy to come out digitally tomorrow

| | Comments (0)
The hunger for new music in the current Internet culture, as well as the lengths artists go to counter it, might be getting a bit out of hand. Ben Folds purposely leaked one half of his own album. Deerhunter's Bradford Cox accidentally leaked his own album and set the Internet abuzz. Lil Wayne's Carter III leaked somewhere between three and 237 times during the three years he was making it.
Well, Bloc Party wasn't having any part of that mess. After the band's 2007 album A Weekend In The City was leaked on the Internet four months prior to its planned release date, the group is taking no chances with its new album Intimacy.

The band just finished the masters of the songs and is ready to share them with the world. A physical copy of Intimacy will not be available in stores until Oct. 28, but the digital copy will be ready for your online ears tomorrow.

The album mixes production from Bloc Party's first album and its most recent, as Paul Epworth worked with the band on Silent Alarm and Jacknife Lee manned production duties on A Weekend In The City. Both contribute to the new record.

If you can't go one more day without Intimacy, there might be something wrong with you. But we'll show you Bloc Party's "Mercury" video anyway:
