Update: Turns out Spears won't be featured in Tarantino's film after all.
--
John of Patmos prophesied that Armageddon would be marked by turbulent political upheaval, mass deaths and a cornucopia of plagues visited upon the hapless people of Earth. It looks like that plagues thing might be right on target, because Britney Spears is being given another chance at a movie career. In a move that should surprise no one, the enabler of the End of Days is none other than one Quentin Tarantino.
The film is a remake of the 1965 cult film Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!. Spears will be playing Varla, one of three strippers who encounter a young couple in the desert. Varla murders the boyfriend barehanded, and then indulges in some gratuitous lesbian sex scenes before a bloodbath ensues.
The remaining roles are yet to be cast. An unnamed source gushes: “Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant. She’s delighted. She thinks it could turn her career around. It is perfect Tarantino material. He wanted to get Britney first. She’s playing the most important character.”
Looks like Tarantino is trying to give Spears the Ol' Travolta Treatment. Perhaps she'll next find herself in a more political role? For the sake of the Paste News HQ, we can only hope.
