Craig Finn talks baseball on ESPN's The Show

August 26, 2008  |  9:30am
The Hold Steady’s frontman Craig Finn has shifted from political commentary to sports announcement. The Minnesota native and baseball enthusiast plans to hold an hour-long chat online next Wednesday with ESPN.com, where he’ll field questions on everything from his band’s new album, Stay Positive, to his take on Twin City sports.

This is not Finn’s first time talking sports with the press. In July, he spoke with Spinner Magazine about his top five baseball films (Bull Durham took the #1 slot). The band even recorded a special version of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” in 2007, which was used during the seventh-inning stretch at Twins’ home games.

Finn will appear live on ESPN’s The Show at 3 p.m. on Sept. 10, just before the Twins play the Kansas City Royals in Minneapolis. You can send in queries or argue with The Hold Steady’s series predictions on ESPN’s website.
