Death Cab For Cutie will never stop touring

Death Cab For Cutie will never stop touring

In his cover-story essay for Paste back in May, Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard mulled over Kerouac's On The Road. "I thought," Gibbard wrote then, "'that’s the way, that’s the ideal life, that’s great. You get in a car and you drive and you see your friends and you end up in a city for a night and you go out drinking and you catch up and you share these really intense experiences. And then you’re on the road and you’re doing it again.'"

Turns out Gibbard's willing to practice the no-loitering life he preaches, as the band recently announced yet another tour extension. Like their July jaunt through Europe, new dates will take Ben and his Cuties through some foreign territory. A few cities' denizens (we're looking at you, Melbourne) have already bought up all the tickets, but look out for desiring fans to get all MacGyver about creative ways to get into shows.

American locales will get some love in the fall, after DCFC makes an appearance at their hometown's Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival.
