Denny’s diner, the chain that serves Grand Slam breakfast all day, is a cool place to hang out. Don’t take our word for it, though, check out the evidence: “adopted bands” from Warped Tour, all-night afterparties, and the cherry on top, the new Rock Star Menu.
Featuring dishes designed by All-American Rejects, Taking Back Sunday, Eagles of Death Metal and Plain White T’s, the Rock Star Menu is an ever-expanding mash-up of music and Denny’s menu items. The dishes probably won’t help anyone maintain their figure, but they’ll probably hit the spot during a late-night snack run.
On the menu: Taking Back Sunday’s Taking Back Bacon Burger Fries, which features all the trappings of a bacon cheeseburger atop French fries; the Plain White Shake by Plain White T’s, which mixes vanilla ice cream, white chocolate, and cheesecake; All-American Rejects’ All-American S.O.S., which is a cheeseburger on Texas toast with sausage gravy; and Eagles of Death Metal’s Heart on a Plate Pancakes, with heart-shaped pancakes drizzled with raspberry sauce and white chocolate chips.
Next up is Boys Like Girls’ creation, the Great Egg-scape (inspired by their song “The Great Escape”).
Meanwhile, Denny’s is fostering Warped Tour bands by offering free food to their “adopted bands” during this time of high gas prices and not much income for touring musicians. Adopted bands are chosen by online voters at the Denny’s All Nighter website. Warped Tour bands (think Say Anything and From First to Last) also make appearances at Denny’s Warped Tour After Parties in cities across America.
