Lest we forget the company's feelings toward the ghoulish and/or sweet embodiment of creature fears, Disney's gone Monster... again. Mickey's film-production mouses recently picked up the film rights for the graphic novel, Monster Attack Network.
Set on the picture-perfect island of Lapuatu in the Pacific Ocean, the story follows a team of adventurers who deal with all manner of crises and rampages provoked by, you guessed it, their neighbors, a brewd of Giant Monsters. As yet, there's no hoped timeline for the theatrical release, only the vague insinuation (read: fear) that the film may turn out like some Men in Black clone ripe for a marketing explosion as large as it's monsters are scary.
In the meantime, the graphic novel, originally published in 2007, is available for puchase at your local comic store.
