Iggy Pop and the Stooges' gear stolen

Iggy Pop and the Stooges' gear stolen

There's a troubling trend in the world of music lately, and it has nothing to do with tone matching. No, it seems that the new way to thank a band for coming to your city and performing is jacking their equipment. The list is longer and more diverse than you might think; The Decemberists, Dinosaur Jr and countless others have been hit recently by snatch-and-grabs. The latest victim of this spree are punk achitects Iggy Pop and the Stooges, whose gear was stolen yesterday morning after a show in Montreal.

The equipment was in a rented Penske truck with Michigan license plate AC46493, parked outside of the Embassy Suites Hotel at 208 Saint Antoine Ouest in Montréal. The truck, and all the gear, was stolen at some point between 6:30 and 7:30 AM. Anyone with any information should email nycentral13@gmail.com.
