Morgan Freeman injured in car accident

Sunday evening reports came from CNN that actor Morgan Freeman was seriously injured in a car accident over the weekend. According to the report, the Oscar-winning actor was driving down a highway south of Memphis with Demaris Meyer when their car veered off the highway and flipped several times. Freeman had to be extracted from the wreckage using the jaws of life.

Luckily, despite reports of Freeman's injuries as "serious," whatever they may be they're not life-threatening. In fact, Freeman was reportedly in good humor. Clay McFerrin, from the Sun Sentinel in Charleston, Miss., told the AP, "He was lucid, conscious. He was talking, joking with some of the rescue workers at one point." The condition of Meyer, however, is still unknown. No indication of drugs or alcohol were found nor, frankly, expected.
