Tricky announces first U.S. tour in five years

What's on your resume? You can type 80 words per minute? You can tap dance? Well, Adrian Thaws (AKA: Tricky) has made an album NME deemed the best of an entire year and played in a band that made Rob Gordon's top five singles of all-time list in High Fidelity. So yeah, he's not really sweating it either.

After five years without a proper album and some time off apparently writing some music for CSI, amongst other things, the trip-hop maven and former Massive Attack member is back in full force. His eighth studio album, Knowle West Boy (named after the urban ghetto where Thaws grew up), is due out in the U.S. on Sept. 9. And to support the release (which has been out in the U.K. since July 7), Tricky is also making the trip over the pond for a U.S. tour for the first time in five years.

On a semi-related tangential sidenote, we don't know if David Letterman has someone new booking his music or what. But that someone deserves a hug and a nice kebab dinner for their last few months of work. Seriously, people have been noticing. And so have we. Kudos.
