Danny Goldberg's aptly-titled memoir Bumping Into Geniuses, was released by Penguin-imprint Gotham Books on Sept. 18.
The book covers Goldberg's wide-ranging career in the music industry: from his stint as a small-time rock critic to his personal manager days, then on to his experience as an executive in various record companies.
Throughout his career, Goldberg has been lucky enough to bump into artists such as Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Nicks and KISS. While at Atlantic Records, he signed Hootie and the Blowfish, Stone Temple Pilots and Jewel, and later was responsible for Hanson's "Mmm Bop" phenomenon.
Goldberg resurrected his website in order to promote the book. He says, "It's my love letter to rock and roll and the rock and roll business which has sustained me all these years."
