The Decemberists made us very happy in 2006, and the wealth
of tour dates that followed certainly didn't hurt. But it had been a quiet 2008 for the band, now at work on a follow-up to The Crane Wife, until we got wind of Always the Bridesmaid: The Singles Series.
The series—which, as we reported before, includes an “amorous” nod to Valerie
Plame—begins to roll out on Oct. 14, and the band has announced a bundle of
new dates to go with it.
Especially for those whose hopes to see the band were cut short last year, here are the dates for the Bridesmaid
