If you think Jack White and Alicia Keys make for strange bedfellows, you're not alone. But, at long last, the unlikely pair have debuted their collaboration "Another Way to Die," which will be featured in the upcoming James Bond flick Quantum of Solace.
The piano-playing songstress long said she wanted to work with White, and in a recent Rolling Stoneinterview, White confirms those feelings were mutual. "I like that she sneaks odd-sounding things into pop music that
shouldn't be there," White said. Not to be outdone in the kudos-giving party, Keys said, "I love Jack and the
White Stripes, the rawness of their style. 'Seven Nation Army'
obviously is crazy. And 'Icky Thump' — the intro to that is
off the chain."
OK, we get it. The two like each other. But does it make for a good song? Check it out below and judge for yourself (and feel free to post your thoughts in the comment section).
Listen to Alicia Keys and Jack White's "Another Way to Die" from Quantum of Solace:
I've been a long time fan of Keys and just about anything Jack White puts his hands on, so obviously, I was stoked when I heard about this duo. Needless to say, this song is ill. It has tried and true elements of each featured in the song, giving it such a unique quality. The two complement each other well, and this is a kickin' Bonds song!
