Paste favorites The Bridges are just one of the 250-some artists spanning a melange of musical genres gathered in Nashville for the third annual Next BIG Nashville festival, which kicked off today and runs through Sunday.
Nashville may be the country-music capital of the world, but NBN was founded in 2006 to focus on the city's non-country music scene. Through its relatively short lifespan, the festival has morphed into its own sort of SXSW. And as with that famed Austin, Texas, festival, Paste is a sponsor of the NBN, offering free subscriptions with purchase of the entry wristband.
Besides The Bridges, fans can look forward to performances from Katie Herzig, Dead Confederate, Eef Barzelay and The Dexateens. Wristbands are $35 for the entire festival and include access to performances and after parties. A VIP Badge, however, will set fans back a cool $100, but it allows access to exclusive parties and daytime conferences featuring panels of elusive industry insiders and stars.
