Of Montreal pushes Skeletal Lamping back to Oct. 21

In a weird (but not entirely surprising) turn of events, Of Montreal has been forced to push the release of its new album, Skeletal Lamping, back by two weeks from Oct. 7 to Oct. 21. But not for the reasons you may think.

Recently, the band released a statement on its blog to let fans know that the disc is set back due to an error at the printer. Polyvinyl is giving a 10% off discount to all pre-orders.

To cheer up disgruntled fans, the band talked up extras in store. Outside of the already fancy packaging, there's a 12" remix LP from Diplo's Mad Decent (out Sept 30) featuring two different remixes of "Id Engager," one of which is available already on Pitchfork. Plus, Jon Brion is remixing "An Eluardian Instance" on an upcoming Polyvinyl release.

In the meantime, cheer up with this Yo Gabba Gabba video from Kevin Barnes.
