Homemade remixes of Radiohead's "Reckoner" hit web today

Being the fan-friendly, envelope-pushing innovators that they are, the dudes of Radiohead have announced they will follow-up its mega-successful "Nude" remix project with another one for "Reckoner," from In Rainbows.

Beginning today at Radiohead's Dead Air Space website, fans can submit their own remix of "Reckoner" and upload it to the site where others will judge and vote for the best work. To remix, one needs only buy the separate stems of "Reckoner" (that being bass, lead vocals, backing vocals, guitar, piano/strings and drums) off iTunes and arrange them in any way they see fit. Submissions will be accepted up until Oct. 23 (so far over 60 and counting are posted). The band will then listen to the remixes with the most votes (after it finishes up it wraps up its worldwide tour with six dates in Japan, apparently then heading back into the studio sometime soon).

Radiohead initially spread the word by e-mailing the news to those who participated in the "Nude" project, and word spread from there. "If it's anything like the Nude remix site it could get fairly nuts," Thom Yorke said on his site. "Fairly nuts" is the understatement of the century. Head below for a quick listen to the original "Reckoner" and perhaps you'll be inspired.
