The Soloist debuts with powerful trailer and Oscar buzz

It has finally arrived...the trailer for the much anticipated Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice, Atonement) film The Soloist, that is. And before you ask, no, it doesn't star Keira Knightley.

This moving story is about real-life musician Nathaniel Ayers (played by Jamie Foxx), who becomes schizophrenic and homeless after his second year at Juilliard. Ayers is discovered living on the streets of Los Angeles by columnist Steve Lopez (the prolific Robert Downey Jr.) who befriends him and writes about him in the L.A. Times.

The film, which features a stellar supporting cast including Catherine Keener and Pride & Prejudice alum Tom Hollander, is set for release on Nov. 21:
