Having just completed the fairly well-reviewed Sonic Chronicles RPG for the Nintendo DS, BioWare has finally pulled back the curtain on its next project: Star Wars: The Old Republic.
The MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) sports a cartoon-like look, and seems to provide everything expected from the Star Wars experience: an immersive storyline (set 300 years after the original games), an abundance of lightsabers and the universe's characteristic denizens.
The Old Republic will again allow players to choose to be good or evil, to fight on the side of the Jedis or the Siths. Depending on the side the player chooses, the game unfolds in different ways. "Because our stories revolve around a player's class, his role, we're able to tell stories that are very focused on who the player is, which is something other BioWare games haven't been able to do," the game's lead designer, James Ohlen, told Gamespot.
Only the Jedi and Sith classes are confirmed thus far, but there's a possibility for more. The game currently has no release date. For more details on The Old Republic thus far, head on over to Kotaku.

Just to let you know, the screen shots are alpha or pre-alpha, not supposed to release quality. Any PC MMORPG gamer whom finds out that their game is also playable on a console, wouldn't subscribe to that game.
