Animal Collective's new album set for January release

The vaguely warranted rumors that popped up this week about a new Animal Collective record supposedly due in January have been confirmed in a press release, with Merriweather Post Pavilion set to drop Jan. 20. The official track list for the foursome's latest studio venture was also announced:

2. My Girls
3. Also Frightened
4. Summertime Clothes
5. Daily Routine
6. Bluish
7. Guys Eyes
8. Taste
9. Lion In A Coma
10. No More Runnin
11. Brothersport

Recorded earlier this year at Sweet Tea Recording Studio in Oxford, Miss., the album will be available simultaneously in CD, double LP and digital formats. There are no more details, but fans across the Atlantic will be able to commemorate AC's first LP since 2007’s Strawberry Jam in person over the next several weeks as the band tours its way across Europe this Fall.
