HBO's Entourage picked up for sixth season

Good news all around for HBO's Entourage. Last month, Jeremy Piven won his third consecutive Emmy for his role as Ari Gold on the Hollywood skewering hit show. Now, word comes that the comedy has been renewed for a sixth season.

"Entourage is that rare phenomenon in TV: a smart, sharp comedy series that continues to evolve," said HBO's West Coast head Michael Lombardo. Show creator Doug Ellin thinks it continues to work because the network allows "the show to grow and mature. I never imagined when we started that we would make it to six seasons."

Production will begin in early 2009, with the season premiering sometime in the summer, which is usual for the show.
