At the end of this month, King Khan and Mark "BBQ" Sultan kick off a North American tour in support of their new 7". The record is a limited edition affair, featuring the songs "Animal Party" and "God of Raisins," as well as a 15-page coloring book made from the artwork of Montreal-based Mathieu Trudel. The single is expected in the first week of November.
King Khan and BBQ are an off-and-on musical duo that has released several
records together and others separately—BBQ is gearing up for the fall
release of a solo album, while his sometime-partner has been mostly
working with a 10-piece band (complete with a go-go dancer), King Khan
and the Shrines. Although the two live on different continents—Sultan in
Montreal and Khan in Berlin—they’ve joined forces for a rare, 30+ stop tour. Dates below.
