Mahjongg releases new video, heads to Europe

This fall, the arty dance-party-starters in Mahjongg will take their blippity bangers to Europe for a trek across the continent.

While they're over there, K Records will be waiting, vinyl in hand, for the Nov. 4 release of Mahjongg's new 7" single, Free Grooverider. The band, fronted by Hunter Husar—the friendliest gearhead this side of the Atlantic—has already posted a video for the track.

"Free Grooverider" relates to the woeful tale of Grooverider (a.k.a. Raymond Bingham), a legendary BBC Radio One DJ who was arrested last year in Dubai, charged with possession (for less than a tenth of an ounce of marijuana), and sentenced to four years in a U.A.E. prison. The lesson here? Tell the police the truth...
