Matisyahu readies new EP and tour

October 17, 2008  |  10:50am
It’s been a while since we've really heard from Matisyahu. His last record was released in 2006, and since then he’s toured, taken a spiritual respite in Jerusalem and completed his latest guest DJ stint with Sirius Satellite Radio. Now he’s returned, and he isn’t doing it quietly.

Ahead of the release of his new album, Light, set to drop early next year, he has a new EP scheduled for release Tuesday and has announced a considerable list of fall tour dates. The EP, Shattered, will feature four tracks from the new album and boasts high-powered contributors like Sly & Robbie and Norwood Fisher. The two-month tour, which kicks off this weekend in Milwaukee, hits both U.S. coasts and Canada before it comes to a close just before the new year.
