Jim White launches mini-tour for mini-LP

Southern Gothic singer Jim White has released a six-song "mini-LP," entitled A Funny Little Cross to Bear. This follow-up to March's Transnormal Skiperoo was recorded on the road at various concert halls and indie record stores. The disc features both solo performances and ensemble pieces, including a version of "Plywood Superman" rearranged for guitar and harmonium.

The EP is available, via David Byrne's Luaka Bop, now. White's doing a week's worth of performances in support of A Funny Little Cross to Bear. He plays the first concert tomorrow in Massachusetts.
