The cancellations for the Fall TV season are slowly rolling in, and now NBC is getting in on the action. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the network has axed two of its dramas, sophomore Lipstick Jungle and freshman series My Own Worst Enemy.
The shows were dropped because of (what else?) low ratings, at 3.3 and 4.3 million weekly viewers respectively. Jungle had tried out a Friday night slot before its demise, but ratings continued to sink. Expectations had been high for Enemy, which NBC had placed in their coveted post-Heroes time slot on Monday nights. Of course, its unclear how much help Heroes can be these days either.
No word on how fast the shows will be yanked from the schedule, but there is no current announcement for replacements.

Dear NBC,
You have made a serious error in canceling Lipstick Jungle! It is the best show on TV and I have enjoyed every minute of it!!!!
I will really miss the show and am hoping that you hear from the millions of people that watch it to ask that you reconsider!!!!
Sad, Sad, Sad, that you would take a good quality drama and give it the ax. Put a stupid rality show in its place and its good by NBC for this family.
You have a lot of opportunity to really kick up LJ with more plots and guest stars, Wendy roll as an exec gives you plenty of opportunity. I hate that you are taking this show off the air...Big Big Mistake.
Please bring back lipstick jungle. It is the best show out right now!!!! Change the time and date - make it work!!
Save Lipstick Jungle by signing the petition and then sending a tube of Lipstick. The details are in this link:

Thanks
Dear NBC,
As an avid viewer of your show I must share my opinion. By giving Lipstick Jungle the axe you are making a big mistake. This show is not all about the hot men or the drama, but it focuses more on the empowerment of women in the work force. The relationships and bonds these women have in the show somewhat reflects that upon your female audience. It's a great show with a lot of potential if giving the right promoting and by given the chance. We normally see a lot of worthless, mind the language, crap on television...really idiotic shows that have nothing to do with women. You dont want the feminist women thinking this show is cancelled because women watch it or any other grief. Keep in mind that us women are in the world. We do have a strong position in life and that this show empowers us to be all we can be. Its a great show and it would be awesome if you reconsider cancelling it. You can go online, on facebook, cafemom and other websites and you will see the petitions, the efforts to save a great show...this isnt like any reality show where people degrade themselves for money or a trip to i dont know france. its about life and women in general....so please NBC hear out efforts to save this show!
I am very disappointed to hear that Lipstick Jungle has been canceled. I think it was a very poor decision. The show was promoted exceptionally poorly. There is no error in the quality of the show, but only the promotion of it.
Hi! I'm from London UK, & I can't believe that Lipstick Jungle has been axed. It airs on Monday nights at 10pm over here, & is definitely the cure to my Monday Blues!!
I hope that more fans world wide will voice their opinions, so that it may inspire the big-wigs to change their minds! Gutted.
This show needed to be promoted more as I just discovered that it had been switched to Friday nights. Now that I found it, me along with many of my friends and family are starting to watch it again - only to hear that it has been canceled. Its hard to follow a show when it is moved around. I also think if it hadn't been for the strike it may have survived. Many shows did not survive as it was most annoying not having anything on tv during the strike, by the time shows came back, people just was preoccupied with other things. Also, when a show plays for a few weeks and then has reruns for the next few weeks to follow, we find other things to take the place of tv and then forget to tune back in. The ratings would be great with any show, if the show would stay on and at one time slot (NOT FRIDAY - not a good tv night - for most, which is why any show that goes to Friday, gets canceled). So annoying, I guess I better find another hobby beside TV since every single show I watch, gets canceled. Reality shows are terrible (only reason they have ratings, is because its the only thing to watch some nights). Law and Orders are great, but they are so repetitive. How many L&O and Hospital scense shows can we possibly watch.
HEY NBC ----- WE DON'T GO SHOPPING ANYMORE, CAN'T GO OUT TO EAT, THEATER OUT OF THE QUESTION AND NOW YOUR TAKING AWAY MY LIPSTICK JUNGLE. PLEASE GIVES US BACK OUR LIPSTICK JUNGLE.
