Bruce Springsteen's new single, "Working on a Dream," saw partial debut in a highlight reel during a Sunday Night Football match-up earlier this month, but its best-suited introduction is likely the acoustic version Springsteen played at an Ohio rally for Barack Obama back in October.
Whichever association comes to mind—muscled-up athletes pounding each other to the ground or our slender, hope-expounding president-elect—the single is now available for purchase on iTunes and at BruceSpringsteen.net.The new album, also bearing the name Working on a Dream, features Springsteen and the E Street Band playing 12 new songs and two bonus tracks (including the title track for Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler), and it marks the fourth time Spingsteen has collaborated with mixer/producer Brendan O'Brien.
Working on a Dream will be out Jan. 27 on Columbia Records.
