The Spinto Band tours U.S. with Frightened Rabbit

The Spinto Band, besides being the sextetist group ever to emerge from Delaware (sorry, Thorogood), are six of America's foremost purveyors of power-pop. You may recall the group's "Oh Mandy"—the catchiest song about an Amanda since Manilow's masterpiece—from a Sears commercial that ended up funding a European tour.

Europe was waiting with open arms for the sprightly lads, whose 2005 album Nice and Nicely Done boogied up the charts in the UK, resulting in highly-coveted gigs with both Arctic Monkeys and Art Brut.

In the years between Nicely Done and the just-released Moonwink, Spinto Band fans have sated themselves via the amateur beekeepers' YouTube channel, where they document practice sessions fueled by Café Bustelo and visit an old-fashioned soda-pop expert in L.A.

Speaking of old-fashioned, after a successful jaunt through Europe, Spinto Band returned to the States in October and almost immediately began running with Scotland's Frightened Rabbit, who also put out a well-received album this year. Check out Spinto Band's water-balloon-filled video for Moonwink's "Summer Grof" on the Paste Station, then see below to find out if the band is coming to your town.
