Battlestar Galactica webisodes begin today

With the second half of the final season of the best TV show of 2008 set to debut early next year, devotees have one more reason to be excited about the next few weeks. SciFi is serving up some mini-episodes on the web, like during the lead-up to the third and fourth seasons.

Starting today (Dec. 12), two webisodes will come out each week until Jan. 12, just in time for the final season. The 10 webisodes will be 3-4 minutes long each, and promise to bridge the gap between season 4 and season 4.5. Alessandro Juliani (Felix Gaeta) and Grace Park (Number 8) will star, and share co-writing credits.

According to a press release, the series (titled "The Face of the Enemy") "follows the gripping action and suspense inside a stranded Raptor carrying a group of passengers including Lieutenant Felix Gaeta and a Number 8 Cylon. When passengers suddenly start dying one by one in alarming ways, fear, panic and chaos erupt within the confines of the small ship, as they come to realize there is a killer among them. Michael Hogan and Brad Dryborough also star."

The webisodes go live at noon the day scheduled on SciFi's Battlestar Galactica website:
