"three of Atlanta's best live acts"

Paste, I hope you are kidding. I've seen The Coathangers multiple times since every publication in Atlanta has been trying to push them down our throats. They are in a nutshell 4 "indie" (whatever that really means) girls with little musical talent having a good time and attempting to entertain by simply putting the listener in the same category.

All the Saints - Saw them at Lenny's bar for the first time about a year ago I think. They have to be one of the only bands i can truly say has disappointed by becoming weaker over time in there performances. There live show is truly not good. Last time i saw them was at Star bar and they opened for Gringo Star (truly one of Atlanta's better live acts). I recommend following there "talents" for the simple fact that they'll likely be playing/opening for a good act.

Noot d' Noot - i've only ever caught a part of there live show, so I can't say much. But if there anything like Judi Chicago, hit the fast forward button and pass.

I understand that Paste and all music oriented publications attempt to engage its readers with recommendations by using "best of", "best live", etc. And i'm very grateful that Paste is covering the local music scene here in Atlanta, but can we please use terms like "well known acts" or perhaps even "overhyped". I'd like to see Paste (and all other music magazines for that matter) be honest with its readers by taking a stand one way or the other (positive vs. negative) on a bands live show. I've been a reader of Paste Magazine since 04 and I doubt that these Atlanta bands would pass Josh Jackson's test as three of Atlanta's best live acts.

'ryanadams05' (nice name by the way): if you are attempting to abbreviate "they are", you should use an apostrophe and enter "they're".

Your use of the nails-on-a-blackboard alternative of "there" renders your opinion irrelevant.

This is why you are commenting on magazine articles rather than writing them. Still, thanks for sharing.

Just another opinion here..Its hard to narrow anything as big as music down to a top three, even if you say bands and then specify atlanta. even then, its very hard to narrow to such a small number. anyhow i think noot'd'noot is a funky top notch live band. i have never seen the other two but i'm sure their fans are fans for a reason. i've also seen judi chicago and they are full of rhythm, energy and are wonderfully entertaining. (but for sure are not for the tame at heart you'll either be comfortable or uncomfortable) on that note thanks PASTE, good content, you make many readers comfortable to trust your tastes.
