Early announcements are being made for San Francisco's Noise Pop Festival for 2009. The 17th annual film and music festival is set for Feb. 24-March 1 at venues sprinkled throughout the city.

Already confirmed for the fest is A.C. Newman (frontman of the New Pornographers), No Age, Goblin Cock (Pinback side project), Dear And The Headlights, Clues and a "very special peformance by Antony and the Johnsons at Davies Symphony Hall."

On the film side, we have Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison ("examining the most important day in the career of an American icon") and Agile Mobile Hostile: A Year with Andre Williams ("follows the charismatic hit songwriter (he has recorded with Berry Gordy, Ike Turner, Stevie Wonder and Jon Spencer to name a few) and his struggle with his creative vision and his addictions.") Many of the screenings will feature Q&A chats with the filmmakers.

Badges will be available for purchase at 10 a.m. on Dec. 10 on the Noise Pop site. Stay tuned, as confirmation of more acts is on the way.
