The Barenaked Ladies are taking to the sea once again this February, this time with plenty of their fellow Canadians in tow. Sarah McLachlan will be the featured performer in a lineup that includes Great Big Sea, The Weakerthans, Luke Doucet, Sloan and Kids in the Hall alumni Dave Foley and Kevin McDonald. McLachlan will perform several times in the boat's 800-person venue during the journey from Miami on Feb. 1 with stops in Great Stirrup Cay and Cozumel, Mexico.
This will be the fifth annual cruise hosted by Barenaked Ladies. Paste
president Tim Regan-Porter was one the fans on board Ships and Dip IV,
and had this to say: "Last year's Ships and Dips was a great deal of
fun. Filled with intimate performances from BNL, Griffin House and
others, the cruise also saw band members casually mixing with fans
throughout the voyage. What a wonderful way to experience music."

I believe that S&D V is actually only the third cruise. They did 1, then skipped straight to 3, now they're skipping to 5. BNL, always zany :)
You are correct. I have been on the past two cruises - this one in early Feb. '09 will be the third. :-) The guys said during one of the concerts on board they may sometime go back to II and IV but not likely. As the previous poster said - the BNL are never predictable!
Yup, it was only the third one.
I was on it and had great fun. You can see pictures on my site.
